What to wear for your maternity Photoshoot

Getting dressed in the morning for some is tough enough so I understand that dressing yourself for a maternity photoshoot can be a stressful task. However, it doesn’t have to be…

Whether we are capturing your baby bump at sunrise, sunset or in the studio I have some very helpful tips to make getting dressed as easy as possible

1.Keep it simple

You cannot go wrong with open blue jeans or crochet pants. Pair these with a bikini top, bralette or a jumper! This look is a classic for a reason. Look at those glowing bumps on display!

2. A flowy dress or skirt

Wearing dresses that fall and shape your bump perfectly are always a win of your maternity shoot. They showcase your bump, you are comfortable and can add a pop of colour! These suit every location whether it be a Sydney beach or a hidden grass field. Earthy tones for the win.

3. Maternity Robe

Ooo this has got to be a client favourite. I mean when are you ever frolicking at sunrise on the beach in a pretty robe having your photos taken? So maybe for a couple shots we can be a little extra and wear a fabulous robe. Sheer robes allow that beautiful sunrise light to shine through, the material falls perfectly around your baby bump and the robe gives us lots of movement to have fun with

4. Embracing your baby bump

I will always encourage you to show a little skin and theres no better time to do that than at your maternity photoshoot. I understand this can be confronting and nerve racking but I promise you it will be worth it and I will be there to encourage you all the way through

Planning for your maternity photos should be a fun task so let me help guide you. I am here to walk you through the process with even more tips once booked in and access to my client closet for you to borrow from!
