Newborn Sessions
This precious shoot is all about love, cuddles and taking it slow. I cannot wait to hear about your first experiences as parents in these early stages. This shoot is all about showcasing your little ones freshness and your newfound love of parenting. You might wish to get involved in the shoot, or maybe you would prefer to just focus in on bub. If this is the case I welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy an hour or two of rest while I take the most tender of care.
Session Prep
To make our beautiful time together as easy and enjoyable as possible there's a couple of things I would love for you to do before arriving.
What to bring
- A spare change of clothes for bub
- Bottles and formula if bottle feeding
- Dummies if using them
- Any keepsakes you want photographs
- Nappies and wipes
Before you arrive please
- Try and avoid bub having a big sleep before coming. If you are on a strict schedule or bub needs to sleep that is more than okay! But if a big nap prior to the session can be avoided that means our chances of bub sleeping for us during the shoot are higher, which works in our favour!
- Feed bub right before you arrive, if you need to top bub up once you arrive just let me know! This will increase our chances of bub sleeping and being in their most content state
- Have bub in nice comfy warm clothes that are easy to take off when you arrive such as a romper with a zipper with no singlet underneath
- If you are using dummies or bottle feeding please bring these along just incase we need them to help your little one settle
Once you arrive
- We can pop your little one into their outfit
- You can give bub a top up feed to make sure they are nice and sleepy for us
- I will wrap bub so they feel snug and warm
- I'll begin to settle bub with cuddles and rocking while we chat about life
- We will start with shots including mum and dad and towards the end we will move onto the bean bag for some shots of just bub
- The studio will be nice and warm this makes sure your little one is as happy and as comfortable as possible for when we start shooting
